  • Press Brake Operator

    Job Description:

     

    Our steel manufacturing company is looking for a Press Brake Operator to join our team. You must know how to read blueprints to determine the measurements of each product and operate the press brake to cut and bend the materials into the shape according to specifications. Once the pieces are done, you will check to make sure they are the correct size and shape. You should have previous experience with press machine operation, whether through steel manufacturing or sheet metal work. Our ideal candidate has a relevant certificate and several years of experience working with CNC (computer numerical control) equipment.

     

    Responsibilities:

     

    • Read blueprints from designers and engineers
    • Program your machine to fit the design
    • Measure the final product to ensure uniformity
    • Restock materials
    • Perform routine maintenance on the machine

     

    Requirements:

     

    • High school diploma or GED certificate
    • Degree or certificate from a vocational school (preferred)

    Job Description:

     

    At Layton Systems our mission is to achieve and maintain a status as a world class manufacturer of custom engineered Food Handling and Processing Equipment required for the Food Processing Industries. We are seeking an experienced, SENIOR LEVEL, highly skilled individual to join our Design Engineering Team.

     

    Education:

    • Bachelor of Science in the field of Mechanical Engineering

     

    Job Location:

    • English (Required)

     

    Shifts:

    1st Shift (Day)

     

    Responsibilities:

     

    • A skilled & experienced individual to perform all aspects of design associated with our products.

     

    Basic Job Duties:

     

    • Develop concepts and produce complex SolidWorks 3D design models/assemblies and drawings for new product designs.
    • Develop fabrication Drawings, fixtures and tooling as required for new and existing product designs.
    • Convert previous AutoCAD 2D designs, parts, and assemblies to SolidWorks 3D models/assemblies.
    • Modify existing AutoCAD 2D designs and SolidWorks 3D design models/assemblies as required following company revision and engineering design change notice procedures.
    • Transforms initial rough product designs into working documents using SolidWorks
    • Reviews engineering drawings and designs to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards.
    • Work with shop personnel to research and resolve production issues as required
    • Work closely with shop personnel during the manufacturing process of first time of new product designs.
    • May be asked to lead a group of engineers on assigned projects.
    • Preform calculations to document equipment designs
    • Preform Finite Element Analysis and Modal Analysis using SolidWorks’ Simulation Package.
    • Collaborates with design originators to resolve discrepancies between original drawings and final CAD designs.
